We originally opened our business in 1975 in Santa Clara, California (The heart of Silicon Valley). We have designed and installed computers in some of the largest high-tech companies in the world. In the 1970's J.R. Whipple worked with the founders of several high-tech companies, in the bay area, to help invent the personal computer. In 1995 we relocated to Corning, so we could enjoy the clean air and beautiful scenery of this friendly small town in northern California. Our new laboratory continues the long tradition of producing the best computers on Earth. Over the decades we have had untold thousands of clients, most of which are still our good customers. We are extremely pleased with our computer. As novice users JR took the time to explain the many choices available, then install and show us how to get online and the workings of our new computer. If we have a question or problem he is very prompt in answering our questions or coming to our home to fix the problem. He offers a 4 screen version that we love and would not want to do without.

I have been doing business with J.R. Whipple for about 15 years. He has built a number of computers for me, my family and friends. In fact we are currently putting together the specs for a new computer for my oldest daughter. When evaluating the purchase of a new computer, one has to consider several things other than initial cost. Support is a major issue. Not only does JR build computers out of the best components but he provides the best support available. His council is only a phone call away. This support is not for the first 90 days or even the first year, it is provided for as long as you are his customer. That kind of support is not available anywhere else that I know of. To be able to call and talk to the person that built your computer, to discuss software installation and other issues that you may not be clear on, is very important. In this day and age it is all to easy to buy computers that are constructed from "seconds", and out of date components, then when they break there is no support. In my mind the smart buy is with J.R. Whipple. Over these 15 years he has never failed me.

It is difficult to know where to begin when trying to describe J.R. Whipple
and Associates, so I will begin with what they stand for:
These computers offer so much in that you will NEVER have more than a few seconds of downtime, should the unthinkable happen. J.R. has built reliability into his computers by offering what others do not, such as his dual hard drives and only the best components. Of course, anyone who has ever used his Ultra Windows will never want to be without it -period! Imagine having all of the windows you need open available to you without the arduous task of minimizing, maximizing and trying to sort through a congested task bar! J.R. has opened up a whole new world for our company by getting us connected to the internet and making sure we know how to do everything that makes us productive. His computers are the heart of our business and we could not and would not be without them or him. Here is how I decided to go with the best: I asked my self how many hundreds of dollars I threw away on computer consultants to help me with a mass of merchandised machines that were barely adequate for my company's needs. When compared with the cost of J.R.'s computers and his lifetime support, the decision was easy. I have many years with him and he has never once left me out in the cold.

In Feb. of 2000, I purchased a Fireside Computer built by J.R. Whipple and Associates. I was reluctant at first due to a lack of promised support from companies that I purchased computers through in the past. In contrast to the big name outfits I bought from in the past, J.R. Whipple keeps his promises. His equipment is of excellent quality, he really knows his product, and he truly stands behind everything he sells. I used to be a timid about configuring my computer, but with many hours of the no cost telephone consulting that JR Whipple has provided me as he promised, I am no longer afraid to make the computer do what I need it to do. Without a doubt, integrity is the trademark of JR Whipple and Associates.

I would not think of going to anybody else for computer equipment. Your machine has held the test of time. durability and use. I tell anyone that brings up computer problems or needs about your company and how that you are always there when I need help. My system has performed beautifully for the last four years. The Ultra Windows display is really useful when I run quickbooks, Excell spread sheet and the calculator all at one time while invoicing. or Quickbooks and business connect with my bank while paying bills. The removable hard drives allows other members of the family to use the computer without worry about corrupting my business drives. Each person has their own drive. Backups are a breeze and retrieval is easy as changing the drives. Only had to do that once. Thanks for all the help getting around the internet, you have open up the world to us.

We are now on our second J.R. Whipple & Associates computer and for very good reasons. Support is readily available and can usually be accomplished over the phone. If a "house call" becomes necessary, J.R. is prompt and gets things done quickly. His products are reliable, AND UNIQUE! The dual hard drive system he has developed has saved our data more than once when the virus problem was rampant last year. The fix is unbelievably simple and he walked us through it by telephone in a matter of minutes! I wouldn't trust our files to any other system now that we have installed two of J.R.Whipple and Associates products.

I chose J.R. Whipple to build me a computer after researching the market in the Chico-Redding area. I knew what I wanted to have the computer do (i.e., hardware and software), and wanted the vendor to produce the computer, install the software, and demonstrate that the computer performs all required tasks. I did not want any problems. I wanted a computer that would work flawlessly. It did just that. J.R. has provided good "over-the-phone" and email support when questions came up. He is amiable and knowledgeable, as well as reputable. I would highly recommend him for any computer application.
