The California Cattlemen's Association (CCA), headquartered in Sacramento, California, was founded in 1917 to represent the state's beef cattle industry in legislative and regulatory affairs and remains the number one voice for the industry today. The California CattleWomen, Inc., is the women's auxiliary of the CCA and works to promote the nutritional qualities of beef in schools, supermarkets and before the general public. CCA is an affiliate of the National Cattlemen's Beef Association with offices in Denver, Colorado, Chicago, Illinois, and Washington, D.C. In addition, CCA has 38 county cattlemen's association affiliates that serve as a formidable link between the grassroots membership and CCA.
