Scientists, like all professionals, span the gambit from very good to abysmally bad. The vast majority of scientists are competent, well trained and devoted to the truth, but there are a few on the edges. Some are good honest people, who are simply incompetent, others are in it for the money and/or glory, and are willing to see only the results they “want” or “need” to keep their grant money flowing.
Many scientists live on grants. It’s exceedingly difficult to attract grant money to study why something is “normal”, but flows a lot freer for a scientist who’s preconceived notion is that we humans are destroying the earth, and wants the money to “prove” it, especially to politicians who may have their own reasons to promote the evils of human energy consumption.
All of us have a natural tendency to believe things that “sound” right but are wrong, and the longer we believe a wrong thing is right, we find it more difficult to accept new facts that threaten to change our belief. Scientists fall into this same trap and many find new facts, which point away from their long held beliefs, more irritating than elucidating. This and incompetence causes bad science. Politicians create hoaxes.
All laws, rules and regulations, have unintended consequences. Some times these unintended consequences have a greater affect than the bad thing the law was supposed to solve. Prohibition, which unintended consequences created organized crime, and made drinking more attractive than it was before the law was enacted, comes immediately to mind. Politicians make laws usually with no thought to the unintended consequences that may occur. Many politicians prostitute their ethics (pdf) to their peers, in order to get their pet laws & bills passed. Some do it simply to pander to their voters. Few if any are producing anything beneficial to us citizens or for the betterment of our country. Many of the recent ecological laws have done more to reduce wildlife habitat than to save it. Landowners will often cut down trees and fill-in ponds in order to avoid being fined or shutdown if a protected creature might be found in those areas in the future. (The line often heard in rural America is, “Shoot – Shovel – and Shut up!” when endangered but pest species are encountered.)
The United Nations, and many of our liberal politicians have tried for decades to institute a World Tax, to fund their growth and control over more and more of the world’s population. The UN claims something around 2,500 scientists who have bought into this global warming junk science. What a better way to con the world’s more prosperous nations to agree to their world tax gimmick. After all, they are saving the world. (Over the last few years, many of the original UN scientists have jumped ship as they have seen the truth.)
Most of the liberals and a few “so called” conservatives, in our US government, have also hitched their wagon to this global warming hobbyhorse. Many out of ignorance, some to garner votes, and others out of some perverse feeling of guilt that we US citizens are just too darned well off, and don’t deserve it. The belief by many of our politicians that our use of energy is somehow unfair to the rest of the world is the most insidious. This seriously wrongheaded view of our energy usage may ultimately spell our demise.
The Global Warming
Petition Project has over 30,000 scientists who, through careful
study, the best science, and/or through peer-reviewed papers have concluded
that there is absolutely no human caused
global warming! (Click the above link, or petition, and scroll down to
read this comprehensive report.)
Not only do they conclude that we are not hurting the environment, they
make a convincing argument that the little CO2 we are adding to the environment
is actuality helping Mother Nature, and making the planet a better place for
all plant and animal life, including us humans.
For years the global warming proponents claimed there were 2,500 scientists whose “consensus” was that mankind was warming the earth, and that was proof enough for them. Now that there is well over ten times that number of scientists who claim there is no manmade global warming, why are they not accepting this new and larger “consensus”?
The inconvenient truth about global warming is that for the last ten years the world’s average temperature has leveled off, and has actually gone down in the last year or so. This is very embarrassing to the proponents of this hoax. In order to save face they recently have been trying to get it renamed to “Climate Change”. After all, with this new name they can cry wolf no matter which way the thermometer moves. A lie by any other name is still just a lie!
This global warming hoax, if left unchecked, has the potential to destroy our modern society. Its not the effects of global warming that will cause us trouble, but the new laws that will be enacted that will greatly hurt our society. Much like the Eighteenth Amendment to the US Constitution (Prohibition) that made alcohol illegal for thirteen murderous years as the law, not alcohol, created organized crime; the new laws and restrictions being pushed through to fight this non-existent global warming will most assuredly cause much greater harm than the thing they are supposed to solve, and may even cause a major worldwide economic collapse, making the 1929 crash look like just a bad day.
If you think your gasoline is expensive today, wait until a few more global hoaxing laws go into affect.
If you trust the more than thirty thousand scientists who believe that manmade global warming is bad science, and are concerned that if we don’t put a halt to the sales-pitch for it by TV, newspapers, and many members of congress, and believe the unneeded anti-global-warming laws and regulations may greatly hurt our society, please consider a few of the following:
1. Each time a friend or family
member talks about global warming or climate change as if it is a proven fact, dispute it! (Refer them to this site: http://www.jrwhipple.com/findit/globalwarming.html
) Each
time you let someone speak of this junk science as if it were a proven fact, it
only reinforces these incorrect beliefs.
2. Contact your member of congress and senators and tell them you believe this is bad science and that the laws they have passed, or are proposing, will cause much more problems than the non-existent global warming.
Contacts: House of Representatives Individual Members
(What’s the harm in doing a few things to reduce our energy usage? No harm for individuals to voluntarily change their energy usage to save a buck or two, but great harm if laws force everybody to cut back.) After all, our farmers who feed much of the world require fuel to bring in the harvest. They use a lot of oil derived fuel and fertilizers, but not a drop more than absolutely necessary to produce their product. This holds true for all other industries as well. Forcing industries to cut back their energy usage will simply reduce the amount of product they are able to produce. Thus starving large numbers of the world’s population.
3. When you see a TV show or newspaper article promoting this bad science, write them with your objections.
Contacts: Newspapers
4. Promote, to all that will listen, more
oil drilling, the construction of new oil refineries, and the production of
modern and safe
nuclear power plants in every state of our union. More energy, not less, will
do more to help our environment, and quality of life, than anything else we
could do. Restrictions on energy will
do nothing but cause great grief and environmental damage. And eventually may destroy our great nation!
For
many, this Global Warming/Climate Change hysteria is embraced as a religion,
and many are prone to defend it with great gusto and much emotion. If you are one of these folks, I welcome
your feedback, but please – Only after you have read the Global Warming
Petition Project and a few others like: The National Center,
and especially this from The Weather Channel’s
Founder.
