Hazardous Email

Do not respond to any emails that appear to be from Microsoft, your bank, or others!

Doing so will almost always infect your computer with a virus or spyware.

Microsoft and most legitimate businesses, such as eBay, your bank, the IRS, and others, never send un-solicited emails.   If you receive something like the following, DO NOT respond to it; just delete it from your inbox.

Do not click on any link in this or other un-solicited emails.  Even clicking the Unsubscribe link will most certainly infect your computer.  These bogus emails may appear to be from eBay, your bank, or even the IRS.  Some are crafted very well, with logos and the look and feel of legitimate emails from these companies and organizations.  They are all Fake, and will cause your computer, and maybe your bank account, much grief.  (More examples below)

Most of these types of bogus emails are crafted in such a manner that when you click on any link, they will bypass or deactivate your anti-virus program and infect your computer in less than one second.  Once infected your computer may send your keystrokes, passwords, and other sensitive information to criminals anywhere in the world.  The more a criminal organization can learn about you, by spying on your computer usage, the more they can customize future emails to try and gain your confidence, which may cause you to drop your guard and reply to one of their attempts.
