Real Audio

There is a whole new world of SOUND on the Internet. If you have a sound card in your computer and a program called Real Audio, you can listen to radio stations from all over the world. From various kinds of music and sports, to talk radio, and much more, you can tune in hundreds of stations in many languages, from the Four Corners of the earth.

You can tune in a radio station then, while its playing, go on surfing the web while you listen to your favorite music, news, or even an old fashioned radio play.

If you don't have the Real Audio program, you will need to click on the first link below to download and install it. Be sure and check their system requirements before you download it.

Please note: Real Audio is a new concept to many of the broadcasters, listed in the following links, and many links may fail to connect or offer-up other anomalies. Be patient while this technology matures. At the speed the Internet is evolving this technology should mature in a few minutes :-)

Short-Wave Radio
This is a unique web site. Jeff Chilton located in Reston Virginia, USA, has connected a short-wave radio receiver to the Internet. From his web site you can tune the radio to any frequency from 100KHz to 30MHz. And listen to Amateur radio operators, Government run radio stations from all over the world, and even CB radio in the Reston area.

This site does not use "Real Audio", it downloads a WAV file for you to hear.

Be patient, this is a very slow site, but I think its worth the wait.
