United States v. Miller, (1939)

P4T2A
The Founding Fathers and Patriots that fought the war for our Independence and Freedom from Tyranny, sacrificed their fortunes and their lives, so that we could live in Freedom. The Bill of Rights was written to enumerate certain "God Given Rights."

For our government to knowingly pass laws to deny these rights, it is not just the denial of our Freedom and Liberty, it is denial of our Country and those who have fought and given their lives for it.

Lawyer's Second Amendment Society
The Lawyer's Second Amendment Society, Inc. is a network of attorneys and others dedicated to the preservation of the individual, inalienable right to keep and bear arms guaranteed by the Second Amendment of the Bill of Rights: "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." Our principal purpose is educational -- to provide resources and forums whereby attorneys and others may be able to educate themselves about the historical underpinnings of the right to keep and bear arms and why, as the Founders and Framers recognized, that right is "necessary to the security of a free state."

Second Amendment
Attorneys and Foundations

One thing I do ask of both pro-RKBA attorneys and non-attorneys alike is to try to set aside the personal animosities that divide us, even while we all agree that the RKBA needs defending. The Second Amendment defender is typically an ornery cuss, is fiercely independent and doesn't play well with others. It's our great strength and also our greatest weakness. Getting us to work together is like herding cats -- but it needs to be done if we are to retain the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, and thereby a Free Country.
