The Homeland Security web page is growing, thanks to our members. The ultimate, and probably unobtainable, goal is to have our Homeland Security page contain links and articles about all things that self-reliant people need to have at their fingertips.No one person can possibly do all the work necessary for this endeavor. To help this page grow, and reduce my workload, I respectfully ask that your submissions follow these guidelines:
Address your submission to: HLSpage@JRWhipple.com (Just click the link.) Subject line should read: HLS Page Submission The body of your email should contain the following: Topic: EMERGENCY {Or new topic if appropriate.}
Entry: BOBs & Kits {Or new entry if appropriate.}
Blank line.
LINK code fragment {If it's a link. Or...}
RECIPE w/tags {If it's a recipe, Or...}
TEXT w/tags {If it's an article...}
You are encouraged to PRINT this page, and refer to it as you compose your submission.Don't let this little bit of code intimidate you! It's actually very simple, once you understand the basics. The Homeland Security web site truly needs your submissions. If you have any problems with the following guidelines, please Email Me, and I'll be glad to help you. -J.R. WhipplePlease see below for templates and instructions on how to format the three types of submissions.
The following is a raw code fragment that you can use as a template. Just Copy & Paste it into your email, then fill-in the necessary URLs and text. LINK code fragment
Remember:
The web page URL goes in two places, between the quotes after href= The graphic URL goes in one place, between the quotes after scr= The name of the page replaces "name". A short disctiptive paragraph goes between the "Blockquotes". Be careful not to change any of the commands, spaces, or punctuation.
The following is a breakdown of what all those funny things do in the code. Please use the above fragment in you mail, not this lower example. Look this over then look at the BOBs & Kits to see how it applies to the actual link.Commitments between the curly brackets { } are for your edification, and should NOT be included in your actual code fragment.
NOTE:
Some web sites/links just don't have a graphic, or the graphics they do have are not suitable. If you can find an appropriate graphic somewhere online, leave the graphic URL "src=" blank, and send the graphic as an attachment. (JPEG or GIF only please!)If you can't find a suitable graphic, copy the following images/need_graphic.gif and paste it in the graphic URL "src=" between the quotes in the code fragment.
The following is the format template for recipes. Just Copy & Paste it into your email, then fill-in the necessary text. Recipe

Thank you for your help in growing our Homeland Security web page. Your submissions, and those from our other members, will make this web site a great resource for all of us. Your submission is not an automatic process. I will add your submission to the Homeland Security web site as soon as possible. Sometimes, depending upon my other duties, your submission may show up on the web page within hours, to a day or two. I will send you a notice when your entry has been added to the site. Thanks again for your help in this project.
If you need a little help with the code fragments, please Email Me. If you go this extra mile of doing a little coding, your submission will be up on the web site a lot quicker than if I have to do the all the heavy lifting myself.[g]
