Notes From Folks are anecdotal accounts by people that have had personal experience with a company, product, or procedure related to the topic that this icon is near. In some cases these folks are professional experts in the field, in others they are just plain folks that have a lot of experience in a given topic. In many cases, the actual hands-on experience of a talented amateur is worth much more than the writings of a Ph.D. with little or no hands-on experience.
If you have some applicable knowledge to add to any topic in these Self-Reliance pages, please feel free to send it to me, J.R. Whipple, for inclusion. It is the power of the Internet and willingness of all to share their knowledge that will make these Self-Reliance pages a valuable resource for everyone.
I give credit where credit is due, and wanted. Obviously having the name and email address of the author adds to the credibility of the note. I will, however, honor requests for anonymity by anyone.
