Virtual-Video

"A 34 Inch Monitor in a 17 Inch Space"

All of our computer systems include our unique Virtual-Video system. Virtual-Video makes the monitor appear four times larger. When working in Windows it seems you never have enough screen space. Open two or three programs and they are all hiding behind each other, or are too small to use. Our Virtual-Video allows you to have up to four programs open full size and not overlapping or hiding behind another. This is the finest video system ever produced!

By clicking on the following picture we will try to demonstrate the features of the Virtual-Video system. Demonstrating Virtual-Video on your screen, and over the net, is a lot like demonstrating a fine stereo system over the phone! This is a difficult concept to demonstrate on anything but one of our actual Virtual-Video systems. Please ask to see our Virtual-Video close up and live so you can truly understand how it works.

Please Note: You will need to use your browser's scroll-bars and buttons to move around on the Big Picture but on our actual Virtual-Video systems the screen moves as fast as you can move your mouse. Its instant!

Notice in the above screen shot that in the upper left quadrant we have our email program running, in the upper right quadrant we are on the Internet, in the lower left quadrant we are running a spreadsheet and in the lower right area our word-processor is running. This could have just as well been two or more web browsers or any other four full sized windows open all at once. This makes Copy and Paste a real dream. Each of the quadrants are a full 800 by 600 screen area, not the little scrunched-down areas you see here.

Virtual-Video gives you a 30 inch screen on a 15 inch monitor, or a 40 inch screen on a 20 inch monitor.

Once you experience Virtual-Video you will feel downright claustrophobic with anything less!

Each and every computer J.R. Whipple & Associates builds has Virtual-Video.

What others say about our Virtual-Video

When you installed "Virtual-Video on the system you built for me in September of 1997 I wondered how hard would it be to get accustomed to using the multiple screen system. I am happy to tell you, within the first couple of days I had become comfortable with the "Virtual-Video system. Further, within a week I began to wonder how I ever got along without it.

This concept is a major advance, in providing useful multi-tasking capabilities. It is beneficial for me to have my calendar open in one screen, my word processor in a second screen, my browser home page in a third page and be working with my E-mail in the forth screen.

I can, without hesitation, recommend the "Virtual-Video system for its utility and ease of use.

I gotta admit, JR, when you first suggested I try your 'Virtual-Video', I was skeptical. It looked like a lot of fancy screenscrolling to me. It did not look promising, to say the least.

But, I went ahead and bought it to be installed on my new "Reliant" computer system from your firm.

Now, after just one day of using the Virtual-Video system, I find myself hooked. PLEASE, PLEASE, don't take it away from me!

I don't ever want to go back to just "one screen". It used to be a hassle finding the window of the program I want out of several I have running at the same time.

But now - bammo! I just move the mouse and I'm there! I still get all the Windows 95 features I'm used to. But now I have more. And I don't have to wait while a new window is painted. It always there.

This is really a lot less expensive than buying a huge 34 inch monitor. And a lot more fun.

I can call up a program and know exactly where it will pop up on my screen. It is easy to manage my email, Web browser, newsreader, and Windows Explorer, all running at the same time and FULL SIZED on my monitor. No more whimpy little screens. I can see everything!

Or I can have my favorite Word processor (MS Word) running in one quarter of my Virtual-Video screen, Windows Explorer in another, and still have room for my email program when I need it.

This makes my life easier. This is really cool! What a great idea.
Thanks, JR!

Dear J.R.

Windows 95 and the four-screen display allows true multi-tasking. It used to be that when our attorney's did online research with Lexis and Westlaw, the downloading process tied up their computer. Since many research documents are hundreds (and even thousands) of pages long, it often took an hour or more to complete a single download. Needless-to-say, this was a drain on productivity. Now, with our wordprocessing, calendaring and timekeeping software programs running simultaneously on the other three screens, we simply mouse over to another screen and keep working. We absolutely love it.

Another unique advantage, is that we can have two text documents open, side by side, and quickly clipboard and move text. No more minimizing and maximizing documents or trying to read tiny print.

One of my newfound hobbies is morphing photographs. It is great to have the ability to super-size graphics and photographs. It makes editing and retouching so much easier for those of us who are less than steady-handed.

Thanks for recommending this feature.

Sincerely,
