You Can Help Win This War!

In any emergency knowing that we can do something has a great calming effect on ourselves and those around us. Knowing what we can do and how to do it is a must. The following is a list of some of the things we can and should do to help ourselves, our family, and our country:

  • Cellular Phone: If you don't already have one, get one!
Cell phones are nearly free! And give you a great deal of assurance. Keep your cell phone with you at all times.
  • Keep a sharp eye: Watch for things that seem wrong.
Around your house. Around your town, On the road. If you see anything that seems not right call the appropriate authorities. See people hanging around a power station, water-works, or other utility? Make a phone call.
  • First Aid: Take a first aid class, they're free!
Call you local fire department to learn where these free classes are offered in your area. Everybody should know a little first aid, war or not.
  • First Aid Kits & Bug-Out-Bags: These could save your life!
Every home and car should have a first aid kit and bug out bag. Click Here for more information about bug out bags and first aid kits. (Click you back button to return here.)
  • Inspect your mail: The post office can't check everything.
You should know what to watch out for in your daily mail. (See: The USPS for more info. (Click you back button to return here.)
  • Help Your Young Children: Reassure them. Turn off the TV news. Be available.
As much as we try to protect them from frightening news reports, there is likely no child in America who escaped the horror of seeing or hearing about these terrorist attacks. As you struggle to comfort your children, consider these tips. (Click you back button to return here.)
  • Your Security is in Your Hands: "...and always has been!"
The courts have ruled; the police have no obligation to protect any individual, or even show up for that matter. I strongly suggest you learn a little self-defense, and look into acquiring a firearm or two, and proper instruction. See This for more firearm information. (Click you back button to return here.)
  • This is just some of the possible things we all should consider doing to help. If you have others, that should be listed here, please contact me.

A little self-reliance and self-sufficiency will do wonders to help everyone better face the troubling times we are now experiencing. In order to help all Americans be safer and more self-reliant, I have created the Homeland Security web site and email list. Come and visit our Homeland Security site, and join our email group if you have a mind to.
