A club meeting was held after the shoot to discuss whether or not to have an annual match. The consensus was to have a scaled down one, possibly 8-stages instead of 10. This would allow us to hold the entire match within our shooting range boundaries, and eliminate the need to rent extra space.Stage design was also discussed and it was felt that the club should build permanent or semi-permanent props to enhance the range.
Ox-Tail brought up the idea of having different kinds of shoots to bring in more people to our range, to compete in various shooting events. This would generate more income, which would allow us to buy necessary materials for the range and also help keep our range open. One event that Ox-Tail brought up was a varmint-shoot, where cheap carbonated soda-pop containers would be placed a various ranges, or to several hundred yards. Folks could shoot just about any scoped rifle they bring.
Due in part to the annual Susanville shoot, the August WOW shoot will be canceled, unless a club member wants to get the club box from Ox-Yoke (530) 385-1874.
